Lemon Tree Hotels Limited has announced its official entry into the state of Assam with the signing of a new property in Tezpur. Managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary and the management arm of Lemon Tree Hotels, the upcoming property features 65 well-appointed rooms and is expected to open its doors to guests by FY 2027.
This strategic expansion reinforces the brand’s commitment to growing its network density across India’s promising tier-2 and tier-3 cities, particularly in the historically under-tapped northeastern corridor.
Key Highlights of the Tezpur Property:
Comprehensive Amenities: The hotel will feature a multi-cuisine restaurant, a bar, a modern fitness center, a banquet hall, and a meeting room to cater to diverse traveler needs.
Strategic Connectivity: Located on the northern bank of the Brahmaputra River, Tezpur serves as a major commercial and cultural hub in Assam, while also acting as a crucial transit point for travelers heading to Arunachal Pradesh.
Dual Market Appeal: The property is uniquely positioned to capture both corporate traffic driven by regional industries and leisure travelers exploring the Northeast’s natural circuits.
Management Model: The asset-light expansion model utilizes the management expertise of Carnation Hotels to ensure standardized, high-quality hospitality operations.

Vilas Pawar, CEO of Carnation Hotels, expressed excitement about entering Assam, highlighting Tezpur’s rich historical significance and its growing economic relevance. He noted that this launch aligns with the company’s broader objective of establishing a robust presence in scenic and commercially vital locations across the country, further expanding their operational portfolio of over 100 hotels nationwide.
