Members of the Andhra Pradesh Hotel Association (APHA), a leading association representing hoteliers in the state, are expected to benefit from special discounts on commercial LPG cylinders under a proposed five-year agreement with a leading LPG player, according to a press release issued by APHA.
According to a press release from APHA, a leading association of hoteliers in Andhra Pradesh, members could receive a 12% discount on prevailing commercial LPG prices, with a minimum discount of ₹280 per cylinder under a proposed five-year agreement with a leading LPG player.
As stated in the press release, representatives of the company have proposed a 12% discount on prevailing commercial LPG cylinder prices for members affiliated with hotel associations across Andhra Pradesh. The proposed agreement also provides for a minimum discount of ₹280 per cylinder, even if the Central Government reduces LPG prices below the prevailing rates.
According to APHA, the initiative represents a significant achievement for the association in its efforts to secure cost relief for hotel and restaurant operators across the state. Commercial LPG is a key operating expense for hospitality businesses, and the proposed discount could help members manage their operating costs. The proposed five-year agreement is intended to extend these benefits to eligible members of the hotel associations covered by the arrangement. The final implementation and applicable terms will be subject to the agreement between the parties.
APHA to Discuss Food Safety Inspections with State Officials
In another development, APHA has arranged a meeting in Vijayawada with the State Food Safety Commissioner and the Director of Food Safety to discuss issues relating to ongoing inspections of hotels and restaurants. According to the association’s communication, the meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the current inspection procedures and the concerns of hospitality industry stakeholders with the relevant authorities.
The two initiatives reflect APHA’s efforts to engage with government authorities and industry stakeholders on matters affecting hotel operators in Andhra Pradesh, including commercial fuel costs and food safety compliance.
