Yo Egg’s Innovative Plant-Based Eggs Featured in Veggie Grill’s Menu

Yo Egg, a company known for its plant-based egg alternatives that closely mimic the taste and nutritional value of a traditional runny egg, has joined forces with the popular vegan restaurant chain Veggie Grill. This partnership marks Yo Egg’s first nationwide restaurant launch, as its products will be featured in Veggie Grill’s menu items, including the kimchi burger, avocado toast, and huevos rancheros bowl.

The collaboration with Veggie Grill allows Yo Egg to showcase its innovative egg alternatives in various forms, including sunny-side up, fried, and poached eggs. Notably, Yo Egg’s plant-based offerings provide a unique advantage for quick-service restaurants (QSRs), where concerns about salmonella contamination with traditional eggs have restricted the use of runny yolks. Being plant-based, Yo Egg’s products eliminate such concerns, enabling QSRs to serve customers with safe and delicious egg alternatives.

Founded by Israeli chef Yosefa Ben Cohen, Yo Egg started as a home project before growing into a notable brand co-founded by Eran Groner. Cohen’s expertise in veganizing menus for prominent chefs has earned Yo Egg’s products high acclaim in the culinary world. This collaboration with Veggie Grill represents another milestone in Yo Egg’s journey to make plant-based egg alternatives more accessible in a wide range of restaurant concepts.

Veggie Grill, a 100% plant-based restaurant chain with locations across the United States, is renowned for featuring the latest and most innovative vegan products. In the past, Veggie Grill had included Just Egg’s scramble product in their breakfast burrito, but the partnership with Yo Egg brings a greater variety of egg alternatives to their offerings.

Yo Egg’s team aspires to drive meaningful change in the food industry by collaborating with fast-casual and quick-service restaurants like Veggie Grill. Their mission is to provide versatile and chef-approved egg alternatives that can be seamlessly integrated into various menu items, thereby making a significant impact on the world of plant-based dining.

Currently, Yo Egg items are available in select restaurants in New York and Los Angeles. However, with the nationwide partnership with Veggie Grill, Yo Egg is taking a significant step forward in its pursuit of widespread adoption and recognition as a premium plant-based egg alternative brand.
